Walk
- 4 - Education
Every
autumn St. Anselm students look forward to a walk to the park and
sports day. A few weeks before they enjoy their special day,
though, they have been pounding the pavements talking to family,
friends, and neighbors gathering pledges for their miles to be
walked.
Friendly
sports competitions, t-shirts and sweatshirts for good pledges,
and even an art contest for the best theme logo make the event
memorable for everyone.

Parents
are welcomed to walk with their children as class chaperones. What
a treat it is walking with your child and his or her classmates
through the neighborhood looking at the Halloween decorations!

Parents
also volunteer as traffic cops, hand stampers, donut and coffee
dispensers, and good will coaches urging the students onward.
St.
Anselm Catholic School benefits, too. For those who are not aware of our
computer lab, the Walk-4-Education monies have given us the
opportunity to keep up to date with current technology and
educational software. |
