The Feast of St. Anselm

On April 20, 2007, the students and faculty of Saint Anselm R.C. School celebrated the Feast of Saint Anselm. In honor of Saint Anselm of Cantebury, the kindergarten students made and wore Mitres to symbolize Saint Anselm as Bishop. The students listened as Monsignor Philips gave his homily. He said that we should all follow in the footsteps of Saint Anselm because he had a great loyalty to the church and was very devoted to the Blessed Mother. He was a scholar and a student of philosophy and theology. He was a wonderful role model for us all.

As part of the celebration, nine 8th grade students were installed as Lectors by Father McLaughlin. These students will be participating in the Liturgical Readings at the Family Mass which is celebrated on Sundays at 10 a.m.

St. Anselm R.C. School is celebrating its 80th Anniversary this year.
